Pepsi and Coke hurt teeth but others don't?

Out of nowhere I cant drink pepsi or coke without my teeth hurting. I can drink mountain dew though and all the others. I have a filling that fell out so I am sure thats not helping but what's the deal?

Pepsi and Coke hurt teeth but others don't?
Good, good - this is really good stuff!

The deal is if you keep drinking Pepsi, Coke, Mountain Dew, Mountain Don't or any of the countless other high sugar and acid content drinks that you will more than likely not have to worry about your teeth hurting because you won't have any teeth left.

Do yourself a big favor and get to the dentist to get your broken down tooth handled and cut way down (or better yet cut out) the stuff that's causing your teeth to fall apart.

Best of luck to you.
Reply:It's certainly not unusual for teeth to be sensitive to sweets, esp. if there is decay. The missing filling can do that also. I have no explanation why it's just coke and pepsi.

Reply:coke and pepsi have a lot more sugar and citric acid than some other sodas. that could be why they hurt your teeth.
Reply:mountain dew is so bad for your teeth its crazy

it will turn your teeth green and rot them from the inside out very quickly

its really gross i've seen it happen before
Reply:Most colas contain phosphoric acid. One study has shown that this could hasten bone loss, contributing to illnesses such as osteoporosis. They also contain high fructose corn syrup, and the frequency of exposure of teeth to cariogenic (acidic) environments affects the likelihood of tooth decay through caries development.
Reply:Because some sodas continue lots of sugar. So really Pepsi and Coke have lots of sugar. Anyways if your teeth hurts then that means you have a cavity. You should go see a dentist to get that fixed.
