When I chew on the left side of my mouth, my upper back teeth give me pain. It seems to be coming from in between two of the back teeth. Any ideas on what this may be or what I can do for it?

go see your dentist, it could be your bite is off or a cavity.
Reply:um go to the dentist because you could have a cavity or something else going on.....in the mean time before u get to the dentist try some ambisol it can numb the pain for you for a little while till you get into see the dentist....that is if he/she doesnt take u right in...

Reply:It's quite possible you have a cavity. It's also possible (this has happened to me before) that a piece of food is lodged or stuck inbetween two of your teeth and that's what's giving you pain. Also, if you have had dental or other work done in your mouth recently it might just be an aftermath of that. If you haven't had any dental work done though, i would consider going to a dentist if the pain persists. Good luck!
Reply:Have you been eating any particularly sharp or hard foods? If so your gums could simply be sore. Try gently flossing between the two teeth to be sure there isn't anything lodged there. Even the tiniest food particle can sometimes cause discomfort.
If brushing and flossing does not improve the discomfort, you'll probably need to let your dentist take a look at it. It could be anything from periodontal gum disease, a decaying or abscessed tooth, or wisdom tooth trouble. Your hygenist and/or dentist should be able to get to the "root" of the problem. (Sorry for the pun...I couldn't resist.)
Reply:Thats what I had... then I went to the dentist and my bottom wisdom tooth was impacted and growing into another tooth so I wasnt able to clean the tooth properly andit has been decaying.. so I had to get that tooth pulled cus it was too far gone for a root canal and I also had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled
